ChildCare Statement

I believe that all Children are unique and develop at their own pace. Each Child in my care is treated with love and respect and are provided with the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities.

I aim

To offer stimulating activities both in and out doors, which provide opportunities for learning through their own activities. To develop the Children’s speaking and listening skills, increasing their ability to express thoughts and ideas and communicate them clearly,as well as learning to concentrate and listen to others.

Equal Opportunities

All Children will be respected and their individuality and potential recognised, valued and nurtured irrespective of their race, gender, colour, culture, disability or religion. Activities and the use of play equipment offer children opportunities to develop in a environment free from predudice and discrimination.

Behaviour Management

I hold a No Smacking Policy.

My ultimate aim is to work in partnership with Parents to lay foundations from which Children will grow into happy, self-confident, well adjusted Children. I accept the importance of adopting a positive attitude which emphasises and recognises good behaviour rather than identifying only that which is unexceptable. I aim, therefore, to comment on and praise examples of good behaviour; this is more helpful than merely looking for and dealing with incidents of behaviour which is not acceptable.

Health and safety

I hold a NO smoking within my home policy

I offer a clean and safe environment where the Children can play and learn and above all enjoy their stay. I hold First Aid Certificates for both Appointed Person (ADULT) and Paediatric Medic First Aid which includes CPR. I also hold a Child Protection Certificate and Essential Food Hygiene and completed my NVQ3 in early years.
